You know those images that people have for there user pictures/avatars that are GIFs. I want to make one into my background for my computer. My operating system is Mac OS X. When I left clicked on the image and clicked on the set as background image a window came up with a preview. The image was moving how it normally is. When hit set as background image my background was one frame from the video. Please could you tell me if I can set the image/video as my background :)

i want to install a minimalist linux system that only runs vmware workstation so i can run 1 windows xp vm and 1 linux vm. i currently have centos 5 installed, however, my system freezes up. i want to simplify as much as possible. i’ve considered archlinux and linux from scratch, (lfs) however i’m not that good at compiling from scratch. also i’ve looked into vmware esxi which is a kind of hypervisor. this virtualization program eliminates that operating system and runs directly on the hardware.

I would just like to say that at first I was mad about Vista and certain issues I had. But I have been receiving download updates from Microsoft which have corrected my problems!
Be patient with Vista people! Do your automatic updates and you will be fine, and you will love Vista.

When you’re using windows, you can use different programs in your computer, right? Like “MS office, MS Word, Yahoo Mail, MS Excel, etc.,” if I replace Windows XP with Linux OS, will these programs also be affected? Please help me. Thanks.
