How to fix a dns problem on a net book ?

Every time i bring up internet explorer it says “Cannot find server or DNS error” I have a v-net net book.
Please tell me how to fix this problem fast…..
P.S. It Says That I am Connected to the internet.

You haven’t given enough details. When soliciting technical support/advice, it’s very important to give as many relevant details, so we can assess what might be wrong.
1) Were you able to access the internet/web pages before? When did this problem start occuring? And were any changes made to your computer before this started happening? Can you access any websites or none at all?
2) What operating system are you using? Mac OS or Windows?
3) How are you trying to connect to the internet? Are you hooked up via ethernet cable? Are you trying to access via WiFi/wireless?
4) Where are you trying to access the internet at? Are you at home and trying to log onto your home network? Are you at school? At work? At a WiFi “hot spot?”
