Social networking sites have educational benefits

November 9th, 2010

University of Minnesota researcher Christine Greenhow breaks down how her research has found that social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace can have an impact for learning and educational growth for high school students. By working with students in a Minneapolis high school to study how they use the social sites, she has discovered that the benefits may just outweigh any risks. Are registry cleaners and registry cleaner review sites just a scam or fraud? Do I really need a registry cleaner to speed up slow computer? Is there really any worth in buying a registry cleaner?

Well that’s what I also wondered.

When you go and type “best registry cleaner reviews” or “registry cleaner reviews” on google.com, you are immediately flooded with hundreds of registry cleaner review sites.

Really, are they analyzing every cleaner tool in the market and writing a review? Is the tool really upto the expectations? The answer is, most of them don’t even analyze them and the sites are filled with bogus reviews. With 5 star rating and every cleaner promise a ‘free scan’. But don’t ever taken by the word “free”, all of these cleaners do a free scan and find out 1000’s of errors in your PC and ask you to pay to fix them further.

It is always like a trial and error …if the registry cleaner you paid worked then you are lucky …..if not your $30 down the drain.

So, you might be wondering is it really worth spending money on registry cleaners to speed up your PC? do they really work? Or are they just a scam reporting bogus errors, take money from you and do nothing

Well, let’s get a little bit understanding behind, first of all

1. ‘What is Windows Registry?’
2. ‘Is it the only reason for computer’s slow performance?’
3. ‘Is reg cleaner the only option?’
4. ‘Are there free cleaners?’
5. ‘What are the other options to speed up PC?’
6. ‘Are there any other useful DIY options to fix PC?’

‘What is Windows Registry’

I’m sure by now you’ve understood that, Windows Registry is a database for Microsoft Windows OS which stores settings and options. It contains the OS software, information & settings for hardware, software that are not related to OS besides the various user settings. It also provides runtime information.

And a registry cleaner scans the windows registry and attempts to pick the unnecessary values in order to delete or repair them, because over time your computer applications, just don’t write the correct information or register some blatant wrong information into the registry.

‘Is it the only reason for computer’s slow performance?, ‘What are the other options to speed up PC?’

It is also a reason for computer’s slow performance, other reasons include Not enough disk free space (you can easily eliminate this as a cause while diagnosing), Corrupted/bad files, Disk Fragmentation (defragment disk using the sytem tool), Spyware/Adware/Malware running background process (you can run all the antivirus tools installed on your computer).

So even after checking all these in place, if your computer is still slow you can reason out it’s the registry.

‘Is reg cleaner the only option?’ ‘Are there free cleaners?’

There are free cleaners like CCleaner, which can do a fair job.

Most registry cleaner tools may or may not restore your computer speed and create further issues of messing up the registry by deleting the keys that may be required. And top of that these tools charge you for a back up registry facility in case you may not be satisfied by running them. So think again, do you need to pay these junk cleaners that “maybe” cleaning, repairing where poorly written applications messing up the registry?

‘Are there any other useful DIY options to fix PC?’

So what’s the alternative? Are there any other options to fix your snail PC? A format and reinstall definitely regain your system speed. But this is a tedious task and you have to take back up of all your data and applications.

And the only other option is a DIY online PC repair tool, that reinstalls OS without touching user data and applications.

Well, Reimage is the is the only repair tool that can fix all of your computer problems, without a need to reformat/re-install and there is no need to take data back up as it keeps all your data and programs intact. It is the only PC repair tool that can correct the damage as compared to a regular registry cleaning tool that just deletes the registry redundant components and inconsistencies. It uses a huge database or repository of over 25 million components of system files to compare to those which are missing or corrupt on your system. And on a brief analysis it will make the necessary corrections.

And best of all if you are not satisfied, Reimage offers a 60 day money back guarantee. Reimage’s repair can be undone and the computer will return to it’s old state Not all Registry Cleaners are Scam, visit Reimage the Full PC repair tool.

Remove PC Protector – Get Rid of Malware From Your PC and Keep It Secure

Your PC protector sounds like a software that many of us would like to have on our computers in an effort to keep everything safe and running smoothly. The problem with that is that even though your PC protector looks and acts like a legitimate anti-spyware software, scanning your system and informing you of problems that you have on your PC, chances are that any information that program can offer you is just an attempt to get you to purchase a copy.

November 8th, 2010

I just want this for information for myself. So I don’t end up with too many posers/fakes when searching for people on the social networking sites.
